This is an introductory course on wireless local area network (WLAN) fundamentals. Upon completion of this course, students will understand Radio Frequency (RF) and 802.11 essentials and be able to use, position, plan, implement, and operate Cisco WLAN networks. The scope of the course includes small, medium, and enterprise installations and, in addition to implementation, includes wireless design and troubleshooting.
To fully benefit from this course, successful completion of the following courses (or equivalent experience) is strongly recommended:
Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1)
Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 (ICND2)
This course is intended for students who are may be new to Cisco wireless networking and are looking to understand the characteristics and components that make up a Cisco WLAN deployment. In addition, anyone interested in the Cisco Wireless certification exam will benefit from this course. The prerequisite Cisco courses ICND1 and ICND2 along with foundational knowledge of 802.11 wireless networking technologies will help to ensure success in this course.
